This Privacy Policy describes the information that Big Adventures, LLC (“Big Adventures”, “We”, or “Us”) collects about you and how we use and share that information. This Privacy Policy applies when you access or use our website, available at https://bigadventures.com/,  and other online products or services we provide that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Services”), contact our customer service team, engage with us on social media or otherwise interact with us.

Please note that this privacy policy does not govern the collection and use of information by companies that Big Adventures does not control, nor by individuals not employed or managed by Big Adventures. If you visit a Website that we mention or link to, be sure to review its privacy policy before providing the site with information.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

It is always up to you whether to disclose personally identifiable information to us, although if you elect not to do so, while it is unlikely, we reserve the right not to register you as a user or provide you with any products or services. “Personally identifiable information” means information that can be used to identify you as an individual, such as, for example:

  • your name, company, email address, phone number, billing address, and shipping address;
  • if applicable, your Big Adventures user ID and password;
  • credit card information;

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, fill out a form, submit or post content through our Services, make a purchase, communicate with us via third-party platforms, participate in a contest or promotion, request customer support, or otherwise communicate with us. Other information we collect

We obtain information from third-party sources. For example, we may collect information about you from other customers who provide information about you (such as to send you a gift), fraud prevention providers, advertising and analytics providers, market research companies, mailing list providers and social media sites.

  • Communicate with you about products, services and events offered by Big Adventures and others, and provide news and information we think may be of interest to you, such as by sending you catalogs and other marketing material;
  • Provide, maintain, personalize and improve our Service;
  • Process transactions and send you related information, including confirmations, receipts, customer experience surveys, and recall notices;
  • Respond to your comments and questions and provide customer service;
  • Provide and administer our loyalty program;

ANALYTICS AND ADVERTISING

We allow others to provide analytics services and serve advertisements on our behalf across the web. These entities may use cookies, web beacons, device identifiers, and other technologies to collect information about your use of our Services and other websites, including your IP address, web browser, pages viewed, time spent on pages, links clicked, and conversion information. This information may be used by Big Adventures and others to, among other things, analyze and track data, determine the popularity of certain content, deliver advertising and content targeted to your interests on our Services and other websites, and better understand your online activity. We also work with third parties to serve ads to you as part of customized campaigns on third-party platforms (such as Facebook and Instagram). As part of these ad campaigns, we or the third-party platforms may convert information about you, such as your email address and phone number, into a unique value that can be matched with a user account on these platforms to show you ads that are customized to your interests. Note that the third-party platforms may offer you choices about whether you see these types of customized ads.

EXTERNAL DATA STORAGE SITES

We may store your data on servers provided by third party hosting vendors with whom we have contracted.  We are not responsible or liable for such parties mismanagement or other privacy breaches outside of our knowledge or control.  We will make best efforts to change or update our data storage system and parties should there be concerns or notice about issues.

YOUR PRIVACY RESPONSIBILITIES

To help protect your privacy, be sure:

  • not to share your user ID or password with anyone else;
  • to log off the Big Adventures Website when you are finished; and
  • to take customary precautions to guard against “malware” (viruses, Trojan horses, bots, etc.), for example by installing and updating suitable anti-virus software.

NOTICE TO EUROPEAN UNION USERS/VISITORS

Big Adventures’ operations are located in the United States of America. If you provide information to us, the information will be transferred out of the European Union (EU) to the United States of America. By providing personal information to us, you are consenting to its storage and use as described herein.

YOUR CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

The California Consumer Privacy Act or “CCPA” (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.100 et seq.) and the Shine the Light law (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83) afford consumers residing in California certain rights with respect to their personal information. If you are a California resident, this section applies to you.

When you exercise these rights and submit a request to us, we will verify your identity by asking you to log in to your account if you have one with us. If you do not have an online account, we may ask for your email address, order numbers of previous orders of our products and services, or the last four digits of a credit or debit card used to make a purchase. We also may use a third-party verification provider to verify your identity.

Shine The Light

California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code section 1798.83) permits California residents to request information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties or affiliated companies for their direct marketing purposes. Under the law, a business must either provide this information or permit California residents to opt in to, or opt out of, this type of sharing. Big Adventures qualifies for this alternative option. To opt out of having information about you shared with third parties for direct marketing purposes, notify us per the contact information we provide on this Page. Please allow up to 30 days for us to process your request. You may submit such a request once per year.

INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM CHILDREN

You must be at least 13 years old to use Big Adventures‘s Sites and Services, but you must be at least 18 years old to make purchases on our Sites. Big Adventures does not knowingly collect information from children under 18. (See the [U.S.A.] Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.)

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to change this privacy policy as we deem necessary or appropriate because of legal compliance requirements or changes in our business practices. When We change this Privacy Policy we will update the date at the top.
